I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers (C008767) and have been fully licensed since 2014. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010. Prior to starting private practice psychotherapy work in 2021, I worked in community mental health and hospice homecare.

I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my clinical work, as well as incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practices. I have completed a certification in DBT through Behavioral Tech, as well as training on ACT through PESI. I completed an Essentials of IFS training program in 6/2023 and am currently engaging in IFS trainings through the IFS Institute's IFS Online Circle.

I encourage people to exercise their agency and recognize the impact external factors have on mental health, including structural inequity. I am an LGBTQ+ identifying and affirming clinician. As a cisgender person, I am actively educating myself on how to better support transgender and non-binary clients. As a white person, I am educating myself on systematic and structural racism, intergenerational trauma, and how to better support clients of color.

When I'm not working, I enjoy yoga, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my family, ideally outside in water.
